Learn-to-Row with the Burnaby Lake Rowing Club

NEW for Spring 2019! Junior Learn to Row Camps for high school students in Burnaby

Burnaby Lake Rowing Club is building on the high school rowing trend in the Lower Mainland! We are excited to be offering Junior Learn to Row Camps this Spring and Summer.

Camp graduates can then join our Junior Novice Program, and get training and racing on the water with friends from their schools, plus new friends from other schools.


Three camps are scheduled, each for 10 weekdays:

March Break Camp: March 18 - 29 (10 days, Mon-Fri, 3.5 hours each day)

Registration for the March Break Camp opens MONDAY FEBRUARY 24 - please email info@burnabylakerowing.ca to receive more information/ask questions, or to be put on our notification list to receive registration instructions right when it opens!

July Summer Camp: July 8 - 19 (10 days, Mon-Fri, 3.5 hours each day)

August Summer Camp: August 12 - 23 (10 days, Mon-Fri, 3.5 hours each day)

Camp Eligibility:

Camp participants must know how to swim, and be OK with the unlikely possibility of capsize.

They should also be: 14 years of age or older, and at least 5'2" and 110 lbs, to fit the boats they'll be in. able to lift 30lbs overhead, since they’ll be carrying boats to the water with their crews.

Cost for each camp:

$360.00 (includes RCA/Rowing BC fee)
